<p>UPDATE: New laser cut design. We used to get ribbed on the trail a lot. Sure....we knew it.....our original door straps were the toughest - and sometimes the ugliest straps in the world. Because they were all hand cut. We have now outsourced themanufacture of our straps to a company that laser cuts the shapes for us. So now every strap has the same consistant shape. Yup - brawn and beauty have merged to bring you the ultimate quick disconnect door strap for your Suzuki Samurai.</p> <p>What makes the Roadless Gear quick disconnect straps so much better than others on the market? Those other companies use 2" wide plastic buckles. Like you would find on your backpack. They look tough. But in fact - it does not take very much to snap the little plastic ears on those buckles. Like opening your door on a windy day. Or parking your rig on a steep side hill and the door slips out of your hand while opening it. The very first time any of these events happens - those other straps are trash. You would be amazed at how fragile they really are.</p> <p>The reason is that those plastic buckles are designed to hold a constant force - not a jarring force such as when the slack runs out on the strap andthe mass of 50lb door on the move wants to keep moving. OUCH!!</p> <p>Our straps use a 1" steel buckle. That absolutely will not - cannot break! Go ahead - test them out. After installing them give your door a good hard fling. If you break a set of these we'll replace them free of charge. After years of selling these we have yet to have ANYBODY claim this warranty.</p>
